The Seattle Design Festival is the largest interdisciplinary design event in the Puget Sound region, bringing together design experts; nonprofit, business, and city leaders; and the public to engage in a dialog about the role of design in enhancing the quality of urban life.

The Festival is presented by Design in Public and AIA Seattle, in collaboration with more than a dozen nonprofit partners.  Each year it offers more than 40 events, including tours, films, speakers, exhibits, installations, and family programs—all aimed at a public audience.

The 2013 Festival, September 13 through 22, will address the theme Design in Health. Please check back soon for more details.  You can visit the EventsCalendar, and Partners pages to learn more about the 2012 Seattle Design Festival program and get a feeling for what’s coming this year.

Design in Public

Design in Public is dedicated to growing a city that embraces design to create a healthier, more livable community.  Founded by AIA Seattle to demonstrate the value and relevance of design in public life, our programs include lectures, exhibits, research, case studies, and the annual festival.

AIA Seattle

AIA Seattle, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects, provides the architecture community with resources and relationships to make a difference through design. We open doors, provide connections, keep our members and the public informed, and demonstrate our commitment to great design as the key ingredient for livable, sustainable places.
