Natural Systems / Emergent Forms
15th Annual Architectural Model Exhibit

Rapid advances in technology have provided powerful tools to make architecture ever more efficient and effective as we move further into the 21st century. At the same time, the parallel trend of looking to the earth’s ecosystems—arguably the most primordial forms of technology—has become a popular source of design inspiration.

This show highlights a range of architectural models, both physical and digital, from many architectural firms in the Seattle area. Each model will exemplify how professionals at the forefront of design are connecting ancient ecological systems to technological advances and contemporary spaces in order to produce our future built environment.

A Belltown Artwalk opening will take place on September 14.
