My professional background within the design industry has been diverse and unique. Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to explore architecture, interiors, furniture, fashion, graphic design and marketing, exhibition, and aviation design projects as well as college-level teaching and outreach. My design focus in all of my professional endeavors has been to explore the creative process, strategy and thinking, brand exploration and definition, developing a global and cultural perspective, inspiring and mentoring colleagues and students, and creating holistic design experiences.
Mark Mappala is an Assistant Professor of Interior Design at Bellevue College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and a Masters in Architecture from Montana State University. Mark has been on the Design in Public Board of Directors since 2015.
